GASS Events & Activities
GASS co-ordinates a range of activities and events presented by distinguished international and local guests. Topics cover clinical, organisational and sociological themes. These include:
Major Workshops - typically five day workshops staffed by London-trained Group Analysts, aimed at any professionals interested in the group phenomenon. "Envy and Jealousy", "Change, Loss and Creativity", "Uncertainty in Organisations" and "Siblinks" are among the workshops offered so far.
Minor Workshops & Seminars - shorter programmes are offered from time to time. These have included events on working with large and median sized groups and groups within organisations.
Conversazione - a series of less formal evening events where local professionals can present their work or ideas in an open forum.
GASS publishes a "Forthcoming Events" circular about local, national and international events of interest. If you would like to get on our mailing list email us with your address & phone number keep you posted on new events.
Regular Small Groups - Clinical supervision and organisational review small groups are conducted on an ongoing weekly basis to offer long-term support to professionals working with therapy groups and organisations. An experiential group is offered for individuals who wish to explore the nature of group phenomena for their own personal development.
ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED BY OR THROUGH GAS.
A number of activities aimed at providing a framework in which interested professionals may develop their skills in working analytically with groups are under way or planned. A READING GROUP will commence depending on interest and GROUP SUPERVISION for professionals either planning to start a group or already conducting groups is also available. An ORGANISATION DISCUSSION/SUPERVISION GROUP is also being presently run, If you are interested contact Sydney GAS.
